We welcome Solly Welch to the team as he joins us for work experience. Solly joins KnowNow to work on the development and deployment of chatbots both for our customers and for our own services. To get to know him better we asked him to answer a few questions!

First, Can you tell us your name and where you are from?
I’m Solly Welch and I’m from the south of the UK.

Is there something you would like to learn whilst at KnowNow?
I would like to become more confident using programming languages and working in a business environment as well as creating chatbots.

What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
If money wasn’t an issue I would learn to fly helicopters and planes so I could travel around the world and explore new places.

What music would you listen to if you wanted to feel great?
Personally, I really like to listen to acoustic covers of pop songs however I also like to listen to all pop songs in general

James Bond. Today Solly joins KnowNow. Tomorrow he joins Mi5?

Today Solly joins KnowNow. Tomorrow he joins Mi5?

If you could watch a movie over a meal with anyone, who would you pick?
I would have to watch a classic James Bond film with Gary Vaynerchuck and I would cook a huge olive pizza with ham, cheese and tomato!

Are there any companies that you admire?
Of course KnowNow! I also admire Cardone Capital and Space X.

If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
I would use the time to become better at something or learn a completely new skill that I wouldn’t be able to learn during the day.

What is the most annoying thing that other people do?
Make assumptions, or argue over things that are irrelevant and do not matter.

Travels…

A picture of a boat heading to a desert island. Solly's dream! What was the furthest you have ever been from home?
The furthest I have travelled is to Mauritius, which is over six thousand miles away. The flights were long but it was a truly beautiful and incredible place, I would love to go back!

What would be your ideal adventure?
My ideal adventure would be getting lost on a desert island for a month and building a boat to travel home.

What takes up too much of your time?
Worrying or thinking about small things that really don’t matter.

Solly joins KnowNow but dreams of a hammock on a beachWhat is worth spending more on to get the best?
In my opinion, I would say Computer Hardware.

Can you name something that everyone else loves but you don’t?
Relaxing or not doing anything, I can’t stand it! I must be doing something all the time.

You are president of the world – what new rule would you make?
Every year you should learn something completely new, for example, a foreign language.

Is there anything else you want to tell us?
I would like to thank David and Chris for giving me the opportunity to come down and work with them over the summer, I can’t wait to start and learn something new!

Great, thanks! Solly joins KnowNow from mid-July until mid-late August and you can reach out to him at Solly@kn-i.com
