Our founding director, David Patterson has just become the lead of the Shaping Portsmouth Business and Enterprise team. Below is the announcement made by Shaping Portsmouth last week.
Shaping is pleased to announce that David Patterson has succeeded Mike Davis Marks as the Leader of the Shaping Portsmouth Business & Enterprise programme. The B&E programme is one of our longest running and most successful programmes, and has delivered a significant set of services to our City’s ever growing entrepreneurial base. David is a technology leader who first started businesses during the dotcom boom of the late 1990s. Following the dotcom crash he spent 10 years as a Public Sector sales executive at IBM and attending London Business School. In 2013 he formed software company KnowNow Information with schoolfriend and tech guru Chris Cooper. Raised in Waterlooville, he has worked with cities around the world on innovative IT projects. These include the provision of interactive services to deprived estates in London, the digital preservation of historical assets in Wales and the design of information services for the new financial district in Kuala Lumpur. |
These days, David is often found designing chatbot systems, mapping business processes and seeking efficiencies through automation – something that he has brought to the table already for the business and enterprise team at Shaping Portsmouth. For his contribution to the creation of the Portsmouth based Business Support Bank, he was joint recipient of the 2018 Shaping Volunteer of the Year award. Shaping’s CEO, Stef Nienaltowski, said “David has been a member and significant contributor of the team for a number of years and his KnowNow Information company has gone from strength to strength over the same period. |
