Armed Forces Day 2026: What Supporting the Armed Forces Means to KnowNow Information

by | 0 comments

Armed Forces Day is an opportunity to recognise the contribution made by serving personnel, Reservists, veterans, and military families across the United Kingdom.

As a Portsmouth-based business, KnowNow Information is particularly aware of the important role that the Armed Forces have played in shaping our city, our communities, and our national life. Portsmouth has a long and proud connection with the Royal Navy and the wider Armed Forces community, and we are proud to support those who serve and have served.

To mark Armed Forces Day 2026, we have recorded a short video explaining what supporting the Armed Forces means to KnowNow Information and why it is important to us.

KnowNow Information is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant. Through the Covenant, businesses and organisations commit to ensuring that members of the Armed Forces community are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged because of their service.

We recognise that serving personnel, Reservists, veterans, and military families bring valuable skills and experiences to workplaces across the country. Leadership, teamwork, resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to service are qualities that benefit organisations of every size and sector.

Support for the Armed Forces is not only about recognising those currently serving. It is also about acknowledging the contribution made by veterans, military families, and Reservists who continue to play an important role within our communities and economy.

This year is also particularly significant for Portsmouth as the city celebrates its centenary. During Armed Forces Week, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a unique Portsmouth100 event, where an Airbus satellite will capture an image from space to commemorate both Portsmouth’s 100 years as a city and Armed Forces Day.

At KnowNow Information, we are proud to stand alongside other organisations across the UK in recognising the dedication and service of the Armed Forces community.

On Armed Forces Day 2026, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who serves, has served, or supports those who do.
